Join us on October 18th as we celebrate the chickens' lives and turn a season where holidays surround the consumption of animals into a party where we treat them to their own feast! We set their tables up beautifully and have a lovely arrangement of food for them to enjoy. We'll have hot cider and snacks for the humans to enjoy, a nice fire going, and it will be a cozy afternoon. There is no cost to join us, but if you'd like to participate in our Pumpkin Court Fundraiser below, you can vote for your favourite chicken to be crowned Pumpkin Royalty.

We acknowledge that we are on the stolen lands of the Anishinaabeg, Haudenosaunee, and Huron-Wendat peoples. We recognize our responsibility to listen, learn, and fiercely advocate for Indigenous sovereignty and justice. Rooted in Indigenous teachings of kinship, Secondhand Stories strives to honor all beings by creating a sanctuary where chickens are valued as individuals deserving of care, respect, and belonging.
